FORESTA is a modern cabin created with love for you to have an unforgettable stay in the middle of nature, with total comfort.

Enjoy the privileged views from the deck, chill out in the jacuzzi, watch the dozens of birds that visit us or have a chat by the fireplace in the living room.

FORESTA is a great launchpad to explore Guatape, climb the rock and do kayaking, jet-ski, wakeboard, sailing, paraglading, horseback riding, hiking, getting a helicopter ride or having an ATV tour. You choose!

Our cabin has one bedroom, one bathroom with a shower, a living room, a small kitchen and a terrace with panoramic views and a jacuzzi. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a double sofa-bed in the living room.

Equipped with a gas fireplace, TV with Chromecast, refrigerator, two-burner stove, basic kitchen utensils, dinnerware and cutlery for 4, washing machine and water heater.

You'll have the cabin for yourself, with its own outdoor space and a shared outdoor parking area.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a car to get there?

No, you don’t need a car to get here. If you're coming from Medellín, you can take a bus to Guatapé, and from there we’ll help you arrange local transportation to the cabin. If you prefer more convenience, we can recommend a driver who can transport you directly from Medellín. This is also the suggested option if you’re coming from the international airport. Many of our guests don’t bring a car.

Can small cars reach the cabin?

Yes, in fact, most of our guests arrive in small cars. You might encounter a few puddles, but you will be able to arrive without any problems.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in starts at 4 pm and the check-out time is 12 noon. This timing allows us to prepare the cabin for you and also for the guests arriving afterwards. It's important to check out on time so the cleaning staff can do their job effectively, so the next guests will find the cabin as clean as you did.

Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?

Since we often have back-to-back bookings, we can’t offer early check-ins or late check-outs. Our schedule allows us to perform cleaning, maintenance, and inspections properly to ensure the best experience possible. If the cabin is vacant, we’ll let you know the same day so you might be able to check in earlier, but this is very rare and shouldn’t be expected. Instead, we can offer to store your bags at the cabin from 12:30 so you can enjoy Guatapé while we clean the place.

Do you offer food?

We don’t have a restaurant, but the cabin has a small kitchen equipped with basic utensils, dishes, and pots so you can prepare your own meals. As a welcome gift, we provide pancake mix, milk, toast, jam, coffee, olive oil, salt, and sugar. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks. We can also give you the contact info for three local restaurants that deliver to the cabin for added convenience. Additionally, many of the best restaurants like Pismo, Praia, Lima, and others are within a 30-minute drive from the cabin.

Is there a jacuzzi available?

Yes, the cabin has a jacuzzi that you can use as much as you like. Although we have an eco-friendly system for treating wastewater, we invite you to use water wisely as filling the jacuzzi requires the equivalent of about 300 two-liter soda bottles. We also recommend taking a shower before entering the jacuzzi and avoiding soaps, sunscreens, or cosmetics so the water leaves the jacuzzi as clean as possible. This helps us protect the ecosystem.

Do you allow pets?

In order to prevent allergies and keep the space in the best possible shape, we currently don’t accept pets. The only exception are service or support animals. If you have one, please let us know when you make your reservation so we can prepare accordingly.

Is there a grill at the cabin?

We have a grill that we can provide upon request. If you need it, please let us know when you book so we can have it ready for you.

Does the cabin have access to the reservoir?

We don’t have direct access to the reservoir, but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying all kinds of water activities during your stay. If you’re interested, let us know so we can help you coordinate your activities with the local tour company we always recommend.

Should I bring towels, sheets, blankets, toilet paper, soap, or shampoo?

We provide a set of towels, sheets, a couple of blankets, two rolls of toilet paper, liquid soap, and shampoo for your stay. If you run out of any of these items, just let us know and we’ll provide more.

Does the cabin have air conditioning/heating?

We enjoy a mild climate, so we don’t use air conditioning or central heating -which allows us to be more eco-friendly, too! Instead, the cabin has plenty of natural ventilation, as the living room windows open all the way. You’ll also find a fan and a portable electric heater for your comfort.

Are there dangerous insects/animals?

Being close to a forest, you might encounter butterflies, bees, flies, and other harmless insects at certain times of the year. Tropical mosquito-borne diseases and venomous animals are very uncommon in this area. However, if you prefer to keep insects out of the cabin, we recommend closing the windows around 5 pm. You’ll also find a plug-in insect repellent on site and we can provide aerosol insecticide upon request.

POSSIBLE NOISE: One of our neighbors is building her house. There might be some noise from Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm. It hasn't bothered recent guests, but if you think it might be a problem, we suggest visiting us in a couple of months instead!
